I am really enjoying grade 5 in the Louries class so far, I'm very happy with my class and teacher. I like the fact that we do more math than we did in grade 4 because math is my favourite subject other than drama. This term is going very quickly because I am really enjoying it. The work is easier than grade 4 but there is more work to finish.
We have the hottest class but we are very privileged to have a pool at the school that we swim in every Wednesday and sometimes on Fridays if it is really hot. I prefer that the class test are shorter and easier than last year when we used to do Cycle Tests. There is not as much homework than the previous years, I know this because my sister who is 12 was in Grade 5 at Elkanah House and she had more homework than I'm getting.
Last week we all (whole of grade 5) went on school camp at High Africa Adventures in Worcester, it was really fun, we did loads of activities including a climbing wall, swimming in the river, watching a movie, dancing, going on an and last but definitely not least The Leap of Faith. The Leap of Faith is a plank around 5 meters high that you jump off with a harness to try and grab a bar, if you don't catch the bar you will swing.
Apparently the food was really nice at the camp, but unfortunately I have very bad food allergies so I brought my own food and did not eat theirs. My food allergies are milk, egg and preservatives.
I'm very exited for term 2 and that's grade 5 so far. Thank you for reading.
